Continental Twinduro TKC 80 Tire

These are the best dual sport tires I have tested. The only reason the do not rate 5 stars is because they wear very quickly. That being said, they stick to the pavement like glue, never hydroplane in wet weather, dig into sand, loose dirt and glacial screed, just don't go into heavy wet clay or mud. Great tires, I have used them on a few different bikes and they are my go to for any kind of ADV riding. Currently on a Tiger 800 XC.

I've been using TKC 80s on my bikes for 10 years now. They include 014 CB500x, 016 KLR 650, 017 CRF 250 Rally, 018 Verseys 300x, 021 T7, and my 022 CB500X. I always get 16,000+ kms on a set. That's 50 % hwy and 50% gravel. I trust them when the going gets ugly - they always get me thru thick and thin. I buy nothing else. And one other important note is that they are very easy to spoon on and off the rim. No fighting with the tire.

Best adventure tires so far, these set the bar for the rest

These were my first set of knobbies, purchased last spring because I planned to do way more off-road riding, and because they look great. The summer didn’t work out as planned and I didn’t ride much other than commuting and a couple of trails, probably 1000 km. Enough to learn that these offer excellent on-road and off-road traction in a variety of conditions, way better than I had guessed. This spring offered an opportunity for a 4000km road trip, and they performed really well but the rear tire is finished, as you might expect. Front is fine, so I just replaced the rear. I think I’ll try the 70s when the front wears out because clearly my off-road ambitions are not realistic.

this tire is fantastic, I only got 4500kms out of the rear on a 690 Enduro R, but tire is great on and off road. Highly recommend.
