Why Buy a Clutch Kit?
A stock clutch is designed to work just good enough to get you through tame terrain. Throw on bigger tires, added weight or a change in elevation and you'll see a noticeable decrease in performance. Dalton Industries spent countless hours on the Dyno fine-tuning their clutch kit to provide a product that will address all of these conditions allowing optimal performance from your ride!
- Dyno and field tested to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
- Optimal performance with any tire models
- Reduces belt slippage and clutch heat
- Enhances throttle response
- Prevents power loss when running larger tires
- Improves low to mid-range engagement
*What about the MAX (4 seat version) ?
This kit was designed, tested and developed on a two seat version of this vehicle. CVT clutch calibration is “controlling rate of shift of the belt” in many situations. It is related to HP, weight of the vehicle, terrain application, tires, etc. The correct clutch calibration is always vehicle and application specific. In some instances of other side by side vehicles we can use the same or similar kits in both vehicle versions with different instructions. In others, it requires a kit with some different components.
Although these parts will physically “fit” the clutches and could help, we have not tested a four seat MAX version of this vehicle and thus cannot comment or make recommendations for that application.
For 2013-2017 Can Am Maverick (original) (2 seat version*, not 2017+ XMR version) -Stock or oversized tires up to and including 28”
This kit is for the original Can Am Maverick. A popular side x side vehicle that is often used in different terrains and with different sized tires. This kit comes with a slightly heavier secondary clutch spring and adjustable flyweight lever arms that can be set up to maximize CVT clutch calibration for different tires and situations.
The kit comes with a complete instruction manual that tells you exactly how to set up for the different situations.
Note: if using 29.5” or larger tires see kit part# DBM1000 M
OR:
*If you already have the DBM 1000 kit, order the optional Black/Violet (part# DPSS-B/V) secondary spring when using:
- Any 28" tire at high elevations (over 4000').
- With any tire 29.5"and larger
- Maverick XMR 1000
